Memorial Day 2010

On Memorial Day we went to Valley Forge with some friends. We biked, had a picnic, and played a small game of baseball. It was nice to spend some time together outdoors. Lucy especially enjoyed her freedom and often ran as far as we would let her. We are grateful for all the many who have lived, fought, and served to prepare a way for us.

Cub Scout Family Camping

Taylor's first Cub Scout Camp Out was in May. They learned about building a fire and the different types of fuel needed to make a good one. They were successful and loved it so much they wanted to do it again.

Forts Forever

Taylor and Cole have been building forts for the last few years. Mostly they are built from the couch, cushions, pillows, and blankets. This is their latest creation..... they're so proud and happy!

T-Ball and Baseball Season 2010

Cole's T-Ball Team- The Orioles. Troy was the coach and we had some amazing assistant coaches that carried the team through the season. We are grateful for supportive parents who want to be involved in their children's lives and the community. Taylor's Rookie League Team- The Phillies. Taylor played R Field and Center Field most games. Sometimes he was able to play catcher or pitcher, near the pitching machine. Again, there were some very supportive parents. It was fun to juggle games and practices. Both boys are excited to play again next year.

Troy's Birthday 2010

April 28th- Happy Birthday Troy!!!

Becoming a "Bear"

These are the last few moments Taylor had in his Wolf Uniform. In his pack they do a special "crossing over" ceremony at the end of the school year. His pack is through the school, so everything is done by grade and school year. Truly, this moment brought me to tears as I realized that time is slipping away. He is growing so fast. Taylor is on the bridge ready to "cross over." Here he is getting his new colors. We look forward to starting the work on his Bear in September when meetings start back up.

Papa's Birthday- April 2010

We drove to NC to celebrate Dad Johnson's Birthday. (We won't say which one.) For part of the celebration we gathered for Dinner and Cake. Taylor is playing happily under one of the tables with his cousins. We had such a wonderful time with family! We love you Dad! Happy Birthday Papa! Lucy is loving the cake! Impromptu family photos before the long drive home from NC. We are so glad to have had time to surprise Dad and celebrate his birthday!
