Yes, it seems like we went missing for forever. I wish it was because we were gone on some amazing world adventure, but our excuse is just that we have been terrible at updating our blog. Much has happened in the Brady world since our last post. Lucy turned one year old, Taylor turned seven years old, and Cole turned five years old. We traveled to Palmyra, NY to see the Hill Cummorah Pageant for the second year in a row. The kids and I learned about a different country of the World and did a Science experiment each week of the Summer. We traveled to Pittsburgh to visit with Troy's brother, Lance and his family. While there, we were able to Celebrate Carter and Reiley's birthdays and go to a local amusement park, Kenneywood. School started and Taylor began 2nd grade. Cole began his last year of Pre-School. Troy and I read the Book of Mormon this Summer, completing a challenge with other members of our church congregation. we also celebrated our 10th Anniversary (coming in December) when Mom Johnson came to visit and watch the kids. We are so grateful for the opportunity we had to get away and have time together (A Big Thanks to Mom Johnson!!!). We went to NY to explore the city for a few days. While there we were able to see a Broadway Musical- Phantom of the Opera, see an Opera- The Barber of Seville, explore Central Park- (even play a game of checkers), dine in quaint little restaurants, go to the Manhattan Temple, travel the subway, and of course sight see around the city. Looking at this list of the last few months, it has been busy, and so memorable. We are so grateful for all that Heavenly Father blesses us and others with. It has been humbling to witness miracles performed in small and simple ways. One miracle we are especially grateful for is the gift of life and new lungs Cammi has been given. Cammi is the sweet wife of Troy's brother Lance. Her surgery was performed well over a month ago and she is now home. She continues to recover, but has progressed beyond her pre-surgery abilities.

This is just one of the science experiments we did this summer as part of our "World Tour" with the kids. Once a week we'd do a science project. This particular week we learned about how plants drink water. We dyed the water different colors and then could see how the flower had drunk the water through it's stem to the petals. It was so interesting to see the outcome!
The evening of July 3rd was when our community held their fireworks for the July 4th Celebration. We grilled hot dogs with some neighbor friends and then went to the fireworks with them. It was so much fun.
The morning of July 4th we participated in a local neighborhood parade. The boys decorated their bikes to ride in it. We walked along with them. We loved being part of the parade!
